Center for Laser and Plasma for Advanced Manufacturing

The Center for Laser and Plasma for Advanced Manufacturing (LPAM) develops new and improved laser and plasma processes for advanced manufacturing applications. Its mission is to develop a science, engineering, and technology base for laser and plasma processing of materials, devices, and systems for advanced manufacturing.

Facilities/Resources: 

LAM capabilities include high-power continuous wave and pulsed lasers of different wavelengths, ultrafast lasers, characterization of laser processed surfaces, high-power lasers for device fabrication, and high-power plasma sources.
